Beautiful Underground Home
Whist stumbling I came across this B-E-A-Utiful piece of architecture. It is an underground home in the Swiss Alps. This design has some very interesting shapes and angles, and is quite a marvel to look at. It was designed by SeARCH and Christian Muller Architects, both Netherland-based firms. Although I find the interior of the home quite stark and uninviting, this would easily be changed with a coat of paint and some new furniture. You know, for when I move in.

OMG a Hobbit House!
While stumbling, I came across a Swedish blog, Below the Clouds, with these crazy pictures of a house that looks like it’s from a fairy tale! I’m not a fan of Lord of the Rings, but this house is so cool! (This would also be a trip if someone ventured out into the forest for some mushrooms.) Lol! This house is located in Wales, and the family who lives in it also built it. And, yes, it is eco-friendly.
I’m wondering if the children that live in this house are embarrassed, or if they think it’s the coolest thing ever. I would imagine in childhood it would be amazing fun, but during/after puberty it would be quite strange. Imagine picking up a date that lived in a house like this! (At least you’d have something to talk about!) Click for Link>>>

I want this bathroom
I found a great e-magazine while stumbling today, called Dezeen, a design magazine. They have some awesome posts, but one in particular caught my eye. This post is featuring the Latis Collection by Omvivo. These minimalist pieces are just beautiful, and they seem quite functional as well. I don’t know why they won’t equip apartments (like mine) with pieces like this. (Money I suppose), but other than that huge set back, they would be perfect for tiny bathrooms! Click for link>>>
There are just so many things I love about this design. It is so simplistic and clean, with intriguing lines and materials. However, if I were to have, say, that vanity in my bathroom, the bottom would look very messy with cleaning supplies, hair tools, etc. But, perhaps I could utilize my linen closet for these purposes and therefore eliminate the messiness. Anyway, gorgeous pieces that will perhaps always remain out of my price range

Stumbled Upon: Floating Apartments – COOL!
These are so beautiful! I think this is such a neat idea. The construction of these “floating apartments” is set to begin in 2010, in Holland. I came across this amazing concept whilst stumbling, and I found it on Beautiful Life. Click here for Link >>>
